The HVAC system for Scape Kingsford has been designed to meet the operational needs of a high-density student accommodation facility while maintaining energy efficiency and occupant comfort. Each of the 354 studio, one-bedroom, and two-bedroom apartments is equipped with energy-efficient system air conditioning units, allowing independent control for heating and cooling. These systems provide zoned comfort and minimise energy usage across the building.
In the common areas, including communal lounges, cinema rooms, study pods, and rooftop amenity spaces, mechanical ventilation and air conditioning systems are centralised and controlled via BMS for optimal performance. Mechanical risers and ductwork are coordinated through the central core to serve each level while minimising spatial impact.
