Air Conditioning: Each apartment is served by individual split-type reverse cycle air conditioning systems, providing both heating and cooling to the living areas and bedrooms. Condensing units are typically located on balconies or designated plant areas. Ventilation: Mechanical ventilation is provided to internal bathrooms and laundries via ceiling-mounted exhaust fans ducted to atmosphere or through common risers. Car park ventilation is achieved via a combination of jet fans and supply/exhaust systems, controlled by CO sensors in accordance with AS 1668.2.
Control Systems: Air conditioning units are individually controlled by apartment occupants. Common area systems and car park ventilation are linked to central control panels for scheduled operation and fire mode override. Fire Mode Operation: Where applicable, fans interfaced with the fire system shut down upon alarm, and mechanical systems are installed with fire dampers or smoke control provisions as per fire engineering requirements.
