The HVAC system for the Opal Marsden Park Care Community is designed to provide a comfortable, reliable, and energy-efficient indoor environment tailored to the needs of aged care residents. Each of the 148 single-bed rooms is individually air conditioned using VRF systems to ensure personalised thermal comfort and ease of control. A dedicated exhaust system serves ensuites, utility areas, and other wet spaces to control odours and humidity.
The mechanical ventilation system also caters to the specialised dementia wing, with additional consideration given to airflow patterns, thermal comfort, and acoustic performance to create a calming environment. Common areas such as the café, hair salon, sports bar, and rooftop terrace incorporate mechanical systems that balance comfort with energy efficiency, supported by a central BMS for optimal operational control.
